CLEVELAND,OH (September 13, 2017) Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center’s (DVCAC) Annual Break the Silence…Break the Cycle Luncheon is an annual awareness and fundraising event featuring a nationally recognized speaker, excellent venue, great food, recognition awards, a raffle and a few hours of the day filled with inspiration for everyone. The goal of the event is to raise funds for DVCAC’s mission of preventing and raising awareness for victims of domestic violence and child abuse.
The Keynote speaker is Melissa Dohme Hill. Melissa survived a horrific assault by her ex-partner and now works as a Domestic Violence Advocate. She tours the nation telling her story in hopes that she can help save lives. Melissa will share her story of courage and hope. Her story has been featured on national television and in international magazines. “I know God saved me to share my story with other women hiding in silence…I want everyone to know that there IS life after abuse…don’t be afraid to speak up.”
Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center (DVCAC) has over a 40 year history of leading the community in advocating for victims of child abuse and domestic violence. DVCAC is dedicated to safe, healthy relationships and provides services for persons of all ages who have been victims of, or are at risk of being victims of child abuse, domestic violence, or other relationship violence, such as stalking and bullying. DVCAC provides trauma-informed life-saving services for children, teens and adults that are critical to our community.
