This 30-minute webinar will talk about the symptoms and risk factors for burnout and vicarious trauma. We will talk about the importance of self-care and strategies for those who are working with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence.
May 14, 12p: Domestic Violence 101
This 1 hour webinar will discuss the basics of domestic violence: types of abuse, the cycle of violence, and ways that individuals can safely intervene when working with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. This webinar will focus on domestic violence through the lens of social distancing and working through COVID-19.
May 21, 12p: Domestic Violence Advocacy
This 30-minute webinar will identify the skills and role of an advocate working with individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. We will discuss cultural considerations and working with individuals during COVID-19.
May 28, 12p: Risk Factors for Lethal Domestic Violence
This 30-minute webinar will highlight risk factors for intimate partner homicide including red flags and assessing for danger.
June 4, 12p: Domestic Violence 101 for Faith Communities
This 1 hour webinar will discuss the basics of domestic violence with a specific focus on the faith based community. This webinar is designed for those who may be working with individuals and families through their churches and faith based organizations.
