Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center (“DVCAC” or “we” or “us” or “our”) respects the privacy, and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, of our donors, staff, clients, volunteers, and friends. As a result, we will not sell, rent or share personally identifiable information or other supporter information with third parties under any circumstances (except with express consent or to the extent disclosure is compelled by law).
Online Donations and/or Event Registrations | DVCAC collects the following information, when provided, through our secure online credit-card giving pages: Name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card information. This personally identifiable information is used to collect your contribution and/or event registration and to acknowledge receipt of your donation for tax purposes.
Personal information provided via donations or event registrations (Name, address, phone number and email) are recorded and securely stored and may be used to periodically communicate through emails or other mailings.
Aggregate Information | Aggregate information is non-personally identifiable/anonymous information about you, such as web pages most frequently accessed, time spent on a page or area of the Site, etc. Aggregate information is collected automatically and is used in a collective manner; no single person can be indentified by that compiled information. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with our funders. For example, we may tell a funder that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.
Information Provided by Telephone, Regular Mail or in Person | DVCAC implements these same policies and procedures to protect the privacy of any Personal Information voluntarily submitted by you to DVCAC via telephone, regular mail or in person.
Update or Change Information
DVCAC periodically communicates with donors and friends through emails and other mailings. If you wish to be excluded from these communications or wish to update your contact information, please let us know by calling 216-229-2420 x228.
Online Data Security
DVCAC helps protect personally identifiable information by utilizing both online and offline security methods, including firewalls, passwords and restricted physical access to the places where your information is stored. Our staff is trained to comply with our security procedures and our security procedures are regularly reviewed and revised, if necessary, by the management of DVCAC.
Our on-line credit card giving pages (processed through Network for Good) use industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is required. To make donations through our on-line giving pages, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. This protects the confidentiality of your personal and credit card information while it is transmitted over the Internet.
